Humanitarian Emergency Aid for Victims of the Hundred Year Flood in Bosnia and Herzegovina by DEMIRA e.V.

The situation in the flooded areas in Bosnia and Herzegovina is still very critical. The disaster relief workers of DEMIRAs Emergency Response Unit (ERU) are reporting from the field, that still thousands of people from the flooded villages and towns are in need to be evacuated. People have taken refuge on the roofs of houses and are evacuated by our ERU staff and taken to the surrounding shakedowns. There is no end in sight - the level of the tide rises even further.

Our project Pavao Vukovic tells us: "There is a urgent need for cots, blankets, food, clean water and medicines to ensure primary care for the affected population and to prevent the occurrence of diseases."

Our teams of DEMIRA e.V. continue to work day and night to bring people from the disaster zone into safe areas. For safeguard of the dams, our employees, now reinforced by hundreds of volunteers, are on duty on site.

Please help us so that we can continue to help the people in need in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the flood affected areas. These people need your support.
